Good basket for the price June 16, 2006 Reviewer:  Ivy (Pittsburgh, PA)  See all my reviews >

I think potential buyers of this basket need to know that Moses Baskets can range in price from $30 - $150 +.
SO, you must keep in mind that this is in the lower range as far as price/material.
With that, it is a very cute basket for the price. The look of the basket weave is attractive as is the bedding. It is great for both either a boy or a girl.
I agree with some of the reviewers that the quality is not great, but again, I think you have to keep the price in mind.
I wanted to try using a Moses Basket because I always thought they looked really cute. But not knowing how it would work out (some babies don't like them), I didn't want to go for the top of the line. I registered and received this as a gift and I'm very happy that I did.

Had to return it August 25, 2007 Reviewer:  Riikka (Vancouver, WA)  See all my reviews >

I was really disappointed with this moses basket. It's really flimsy and it had a tag saying not to lift it with the baby in it! So what are the handles for then? I wanted to use it in my stroller, and in case the baby would fall asleep (which usually happens) during the walk, i could just carry him in and let him finish his nap in it. But it's just not sturdy enough..

I got two of these for my twin grandchildren when they stay with me. I really think these are nice little beds and are easy to store away when not in use, fabric is really pretty.

Good item! October 15, 2007 Reviewer:  Dr. Victoria Church "VickiC" Real Name (Texas)  See all my reviews >

I ummed and ahhed about purchasing a Moses basket (did I need one?), but eventually I plumped for this one. It was a hard decision because I had to buy the basket online and I don't usually like to buy things unseen. I also couldn't really tell how this version (at $54.99) differed from Badger's other hooded baskets (cheaper at $44.99 and $29.99), but I'm definitely happy with my decision!

The quality of the basket is pretty good and it is certainly attractive. Some reviews don't like the velcro that attaches the hood to the basket, but it attaches very securely (I don't know how it wears if you are continually taking the hood on and off).

The liner is reversible but my only criticism is that it is a little 'fluffy' and loose. However, I'm going to attach a couple more ribbons just to make it a little less loose around the head end for when my 2 week old gets bigger and it becomes more important re: SIDS, although I don't think it's necessary to do this - I'm just being a paranoid new mother! In fact, you could even use the basket without the liner if you were really worried. Have not tried to wash the liner yet but the sheet has been washed and it didn't shrink. The mattress fits the basket perfectly.

Note to others: Stupidly, I managed to misassemble the basket liner and mattress when I received it as it came with the mattress (plus sheet) underneath the liner and I failed to notice so used the basket this way for a week before I realised my mistake (I blame the pregnancy hormones)!

My only real problem is that I have found it very hard to find sheets to fit the mattress. I eventually found a 2 pack set of Bassinet sheets (by Circo) to fit a 12x29" mattress - this Badger mattress is a little smaller at approx 11x26", but with the aid of some safety pins (I can't sew well enough) I can make the Circo sheets fit snugly, and they weren't expensive either.

Don't know how long the basket will last (in terms of wear and baby outgrowing it), but I intend to use it as a storage basket later! So far baby is happy and comfortable sleeping and napping in it, and I can move it around the house to keep him safely with me.

Not much use yet! February 3, 2007 Reviewer:  oregon mamma See all my reviews >

With the first baby we went a little crazy buying bed-type things. This was one of them. All babies are different, but ours didn't think much of this. I'd try to get him to nap in it, in the living room or office or wherever. He wasn't so into it. I tried it next to my side of the bed, like a cosleeper. Baby still not happy. BUT, it is a good price. It comes with the matteress, which I noticed many you have to buy that extra. Also you can cover the pad with a pillow case to save money instead of the special sheets! It is sturdy and the canopy thing is attached by super duper velcro- so you can take it off. Maybe baby no. 2 will like it.

Not very impressed... August 20, 2007 Reviewer:  J. Donnelly Real Name See all my reviews >

The basket itself was nice, but I thought that the Gingham bedding was very flimsy and cheap. When the bedding was attatched to the basket it didn't fit very snug and it drooped down in the basket. The velcro hood was also a little tacky. Its true what they say...you get what you pay for.

Great Gift Basket Idea October 8, 2008 Reviewer:  First Time Daddy "Randy P" (Southern Illinois)  See all my reviews >

My wife and I received this moses basket as a gift at our baby shower...It was filled with baby items too which we both thought was a great idea - DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON GIFT BAGS! This was a useful "gift bag" that doesn't go in the trash when its done being used.

Beautiful October 8, 2008 Reviewer:  T. L. Dodson Real Name See all my reviews >

I have purchased 2 of these baskets and love them. They are exactly as pictured and the bedding is very nice. As many have said the velcro is a little tacky but you can't see it with the hood on. I will be purchasing another basket soon for my neice who is expecting and recomend this basket to anyone. Good price!
